Sagarmatha Awasiya Mahabidhyalaya is a residential institution offering education from the school level up to Higher Secondary (+2). At the +2 level we run both the Science and Management faculties. Our integrated, residential approach lets students learn, live, and grow together in a disciplined and supportive academic environment.
Sagarmatha is primarily a residential (boarding) college, and most of our students live on campus in our hostels. We also welcome a limited number of day scholars from nearby areas. Whichever option a family chooses, every student receives the same academic attention and care.
We provide separate, well-managed hostels for boys and girls, each supervised by dedicated wardens. The hostels offer comfortable beds, dedicated study rooms, clean bathrooms, safe drinking water, and round-the-clock supervision. Our aim is to make the hostel a safe and homely second home for every student.
Resident students are provided with three nutritious, freshly cooked meals a day along with snacks and tea. The menu is balanced and varied, with hygiene and student health as our top priorities. Reasonable special dietary needs are accommodated wherever possible.
A typical day includes an early-morning study session, breakfast, regular classes, lunch, co-curricular activities, and a supervised evening self-study period before lights-out. This structured routine helps students build discipline, strong study habits, and a healthy balance between work and rest.
The safety and well-being of every student is our highest priority. Our hostels are supervised at all times by wardens and support staff, the campus is secured and monitored, and a basic health facility is available on site. Parents are informed promptly of any concern regarding their child.
The admission process is simple and transparent. Families may visit the college office or apply online, after which the student may sit a short entrance assessment and/or interview. Once selected, you complete the admission formalities and the student is allotted a place in the hostel.
You will need the student's birth certificate, the transfer certificate and marksheet from the previous school, recent passport-size photographs, and the parent's or guardian's identification. Bringing the originals along with photocopies helps us complete the process quickly.
Yes. We firmly believe that financial hardship should never stop a deserving student. Sagarmatha offers both merit-based scholarships for outstanding students and need-based support for families facing genuine difficulty. Please contact the office to learn about eligibility and how to apply.
The primary medium of instruction is English, which helps our students communicate confidently and prepare for higher studies. Nepali is also taught and respected as an important part of our identity and culture.
