I used to think science was just a list of formulas to memorise before an examination. That changed completely when I joined the +2 Science programme. For the first time, science stopped being words on a page and became a way of understanding the world around me.
In the laboratory, I watched chemical reactions change colour before my eyes, traced the path of electricity through a circuit, and looked at the hidden world inside a single drop of water under the microscope. Suddenly the rain, the stars, and even my own heartbeat became fascinating questions waiting to be explored.
Our lecturers encouraged us never simply to accept an answer, but to ask ‘why’ and ‘how’. That single habit — curiosity — has changed the way I think about everything.
Whatever path I choose in the future, science has given me a gift I will keep forever: the joy of wonder, and the courage to keep asking questions.
