When I first arrived at the hostel, far from my family, I will admit that I felt a little lonely. The room was new, the faces were unfamiliar, and home felt very far away. But what began with a little homesickness soon became one of the best experiences of my life.
Hostel life teaches lessons no textbook can. You learn to manage your own time, keep your things in order, and stand on your own feet. The morning bell, the shared meals, the supervised study hours — this routine, which once felt strict, has quietly made me more disciplined and independent.
Best of all are the friendships. The students beside me have become like brothers and sisters. We study together, play together, encourage one another before examinations, and celebrate every small success. Our wardens and teachers watch over us like a second family.
To any new student feeling nervous about leaving home, I say: give it time. The hostel is not just a place to stay — it becomes a second home that helps you grow.
