Every village dreams of progress, and that progress begins with its own people. As a young student, I often ask myself what I can do to help my village grow. I have come to realise that even a single person, with the right attitude, can make a real difference.
The first and most important step is education. By studying hard and gaining knowledge and skills, I can prepare myself to serve my community in the future, perhaps as a teacher, a doctor, an engineer, or a farmer who uses modern methods. An educated youth is the greatest hope of any village.
But I do not have to wait for the future to begin helping. Even now, I can contribute in small but meaningful ways. I can keep my surroundings clean, plant trees, and help raise awareness about health, hygiene, and education. I can teach younger children, respect our local culture, and discourage harmful habits and superstitions.
Most importantly, I can set a good example through honesty, discipline, and hard work. When one person changes for the better, others slowly follow.
Our villages in Karnali may face many difficulties, but they are also full of potential and hardworking people. If every young person takes responsibility, our villages can become clean, educated, and prosperous. I promise to play my part with dedication, because a developed village means a developed nation.
