High in the hills of Karnali lived a young boy named Karna, who looked after a small flock of sheep. One winter morning, a thick fog rolled in, and one little lamb wandered away from the others.
Karna searched for hours, climbing steep and slippery trails. Many times he wanted to give up and turn back, but he remembered the words of his grandmother: never abandon those who depend on you. At last, near a cold stream, he found the trembling lamb and carried it home in his arms.
That day, Karna learned that patience and a refusal to give up can overcome even the hardest path. The whole village praised his courage, but for Karna, the greatest reward was the warm look in the eyes of his grandmother.
